Job Description:
The Project Manager oversees and manages the consulting projects, coordinate between various groups within the organization and interfacing directly with customers. The duties include develop, communicate, and maintain a detailed project plan, work breakdown structure and schedule; define requirements and deliverables and will direct the efforts of the engineering teams to execute the project. Prepare and report status reports as necessary to the stake holders. Prepare schedule and budget estimations for new project bids
maintain, communicate, and update the status of action items for a given effort and ensure that action items are closed out appropriately.
The successful candidate will need the ability to multi-task and interact successfully with individuals with varying levels of experience and work closely with various groups. The candidate must be able to organize and prioritize work independently and meet critical deadlines in a fast paced environment where creativity and flexibility is highly regarded.
The applicant must possess good understanding of the physics and principles of turbomachinery aerodynamics and strong technical aptitude including applicable engineering tools and systems for turbomachinery design. The applicant should also possess strong problem-solving skills, proven track record for technical excellence, practical approach, and excellent communication skills. The applicant should be able to lead and succeed in an integrated project team environment and should have the ability to teach oneself and others new skills as required.
5+ years of experience in turbomachinery design and analysis with at least 2+ years in project management (including planning, analysis, meeting delivery schedule). Master’s or Ph.D in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering is required.
