India: Sales Development Representative

Our Sales Development Representatives play a key role in creating and developing new business opportunities by generating qualified leads for SoftInWay’s Sales team.

Sales Development Representatives are responsible for searching, identifying, and converting social contacts to qualified opportunities for the sales team based on predetermined criteria.

In addition to lead generation and development, the Sales Development Representative is responsible for updating the company’s CRM database with gathered information for every prospect. This position also requires attendance of related tradeshows.

The successful Sales Development Representative generates leads and opportunities through significant engagement in a business-to-business environment and makes use of internet/internal database resources to identify and profile new customers.

The Sales Development Representative is an active team player, fostering sales and marketing collaboration and alignment towards joint goals.

What You Will Do

  • Use research tools to identify and source key decision-makers
  • Engage prospects by phone and email
  • Educate prospects about our products and generate interest
  • Schedule meetings/demos with prospects to increase the sales pipeline
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing and sales team to continually improve individually and collectively, and achieve optimal results for your customers
  • Leverage data and analysis to drive daily and weekly strategies
  • Work closely with key internal teams and engage current accounts to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and use case opportunities through direct account engagement and insight tools to expand awareness, education, and referral networks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or relevant engineering field.
  • Technical aptitude and at least 1-year experience in a sales environment (internship is ok).
  • Excellent record of customer service and customer satisfaction
  • Experience in leveraging social media to identify and engage with key decision-makers.
  • Good telephone etiquette and computer literacy skills
  • Understanding of sales automation tools and the sales process
  • Fluent in English and the local language of the territory
