We have an exciting research opportunity in our newly formed AI Team. The role involves conducting research using statistical AI models, deep learning, and transformer-based algorithms. Additionally, it includes developing application use cases that span from grounded-response chatbots and application engineering to complex physics-based rocket launches. The AI Research Engineer will work with a team of internal and external experts in the field of Turbomachinery, Software Development, AI and the interaction of simulation and physical world.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement Training Algorithms based on statistical models and correlate with physical model interaction
- Create data reduction models to reduce computational resources
- Optimize machine learning models to ensure real-time performance by minimizing GPU memory usage and maximizing speed
- Train/Fine-tune Large Language Models(LLMs) and semantic similarity models efficiently with GPU acceleration techniques
- Efficiently deploy LLM based applications at scale to asynchronously respond to multiple concurrent requests
- Write documentation and tests for code
- Work in a team environment of Physics/Propulsion Experts, Software Developers and statistical/business case users.
Requirements for position:
- Minimum of two years work experience required
- Completed MS, PhD or currently enrolled in PhD program in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information technology, or related field
- Experience with Tensorflow and creating/leveraging deep learning Python Libraries
- Experience programming in Python and C
- Good knowledge of standard NLP techniques like Semantic similarity, Language Modelling, content retrieval, question answering and summarization
